Consultation responses for the India Digital Ecosystem Architecture 2.0

In January 2022, MeitY released a revised version of the India Digital Ecosystem Architecture (InDEA) Framework, which was first released in December 2018. InDEA 2.0 lays increased emphasis on the creation of ecosystems, rather than stand-alone systems.

In February, we released a non-opinionated summary of the 98-page document, focussing on the data-rights-centric parts of the document. We also submitted our comments on the framework in which we highlighted how allowing private commercial entities access to personal data entails its own risks like data monetisation.

In reply to our RTI application, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has shared 19 consultation responses received for the India Digital Ecosystem Architecture 2.0. We are releasing the responses in the public interest.

We appreciate that C-DAC shared the consultation responses with us and upheld the spirit of the RTI Act, 2005. We have written a letter of appreciation thanking them and have requested them to make the responses available on their website.
