Department of Consumer Affairs is inviting public comments on the draft Guidelines for Prevention & Regulation of Dark Patterns

Department of Consumer Affairs, GoI is inviting public comments on the draft Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns till October 5, 2023. The guidelines will aim to protect and enhance consumer experience on apps and websites. Here’s how you can help.

IFF will write to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs, GoI with suggestions on what kinds of online malpractices they can characterise as a dark pattern. For this, we need your help…
Recognise a dark pattern while doomscrolling on your most (or least :eyes:) favourite apps or websites? Fill in this survey and show us!

Is the deadline for this 5th October 00:00, or 5th October 23:59?
