I recently read an interesting Wired article which suggests that a secure key escrow system may be possible and why such a proposal may be better than outsourced hacking by secret contractors. The article also quotes experts like Susan Landau who oppose this proposal and argue that signing keys and exceptional access keys cannot be equated.
Would love to hear what IFF community members think about this proposal, especially those who are interested in cybersecurity.
