Looking for book recommendations on surveillance

Looking for book recommendations for :

  1. Post 9/11 developments in surveillance in US
  2. Post 26/11 developments in surveillance in India

One recommendation that has come in multiple times is Josy Joseph’s the Silent Coup. Looking forward to reading that one soon!

Please drop your recommendations below or go to the tweet here. Replies to the tweet also have recommendations so check those out!

Are you focused on Government Surveillance or Surveillance Capitalism or both?

Government surveillance specifically.

No Place to Hide by Glen Greenwald. (In addition to the Snowden/Greenwald story, the book has some good insights into NSA practices).

I may be going a bit off-topic here, but recently I stumbled upon this reading list on gendered surveillance. It includes articles from India (including on UP’s infamous “distress alert via FRT”)…hope this helps…(so far, I have only bookmarked the page, I have to get around to reading some of the articles… :grimacing: )
